it takes a village. recognize your role and impact

be that adult is a message and mission based brand. The brand serves as the reminder that it doesn't matter your title or your role- anyone can be a leading example in their family, school, or community. Any one of us has the power at any time to be a positive, caring and supportive adult for a youth or young adult. It starts with being intentional and consistent about who we are and how we show up for those around us. You will always leave an impact on someone and it is your choice to decide what you want that impact to be. you get to decide what your legacy is and how you are remembered.

everyone has that teacher, coach or other adult who left a significant impression on them. They impacted you by the way that they showed up for the world and those around them. You can tell me what they taught or coached or did for a living but what made the most impact on you was how they made you feel, the lessons and wisdom they passed on or they example they led by- their character and how it inspired you to be who you are and how you show up for others and the world.

great adults have a ripple effect on those around them and those they serve. their impact is so strong that it is carried on- for life! How you then show up for others was shaped in some way by a significant, positive. caring and supportive adult that you encountered along your journey. This person knew what it was like to once “be there” and served as a model and a guide for those who are there and are growing and developing. This person extended a love and a concern for you and built such a relationship that the impact lasted forever.
